Mr. Suzuki:Space Mall Co., Ltd. is a company whose mission is to “maximize the value of space” and is mainly engaged in the management agency business of rental spaces.

Since our founding in 2018, we have operated a total of over 420 spaces in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, etc., mainly rental spaces for parties and events.

In June 2021, we transferred 100% of our shares to Space Market Co., Ltd. to join the group, and from 2026 we will also enter the accommodation business.

From everyday special moments like birthday parties and girls’ nights to team off-site meetings and training, we strive to create spaces that make you feel “I’m glad I came here” from the moment you step inside.

We have developed multiple brands specializing in concepts, and “SpemoPARK Takadanobaba”, which has introduced T4 OFFICE, is the latest brand.

Mr. Suzuki:The concept of “SpemoPARK Takadanobaba” is to “create a park for everyone in the heart of the city.” The tagline is “Your Vision. Your Forest.”

We aim to create an open space, like a park, where anyone can feel free to drop in and spend time as they please.

The interior design is based on biophilic design, incorporating plenty of fake greenery with fine leaves that are close to the real thing, and combining it with warm wood-based furniture to create an atmosphere reminiscent of a “forest in the city.”

Aromas, lighting, and other features that appeal to the five senses were incorporated throughout the space, creating a special atmosphere that is a little removed from everyday life.

Mr. Suzuki:We thought that a table tennis table would be the perfect item to embody the concept of a park. The park has playground equipment, where people naturally gather and smiles are born. At SpemoPARK, we also wanted to have equipment that would serve as the core of play.

Table tennis has simple rules and is a sport that anyone can enjoy regardless of age, gender, or athletic ability. It’s a great way to liven things up at parties, and it’s a great way to refresh yourself between meetings.

Another attractive feature is that even if you don’t play, just watching the game can liven up the atmosphere. “A space with a table tennis table” is often the deciding factor in making a reservation, so we decided that this item would simultaneously enhance the uniqueness of the space and the ability to attract customers.

Mr. Suzuki:There are two main aims. The first is to create excitement at parties and events.

Table tennis is a natural icebreaker for birthday parties, girls’ nights out, and office get-togethers. Even people meeting for the first time can easily get to know each other through table tennis, increasing the sense of satisfaction that “Today was fun.” We want to create a lively and warm time where you can enjoy food and drinks and play table tennis in between.

The second is the activation of creativity and communication in business use. When used in meetings or training sessions, table tennis creates “flat dialogue that transcends the boundaries of job titles.” When superiors and subordinates laugh together while playing table tennis, psychological safety increases and subsequent discussions become more honest.

In addition, “T4 OFFICE” can be quickly transformed into a flat meeting table by simply removing the net, allowing for flexible operation by allowing a single table to serve two purposes: as a meeting table during meetings and as a table tennis table during breaks.

Mr. Suzuki:The biggest deciding factor was “a design that does not disrupt the worldview of the space.” SpemoPARK aims to create a stylish and natural space based on fake green and wood.

If we put a regular table tennis table in there, it would give the space a strong impression of a sports facility, which often doesn’t match the sophisticated atmosphere that we value. In that respect, “T4 OFFICE” has a simple and stylish all-black form that looks just like high-end office furniture.

Even at parties, I felt that it would enhance the appeal of the space as a “table tennis table that blends in with a stylish space.”

We also praised its functionality, which allows it to be used as a meeting table by simply removing the net, and its practicality, as it can be divided into two sections for easy movement.

Mr. Suzuki:We want to foster a place where people can connect with nature.

We want to continue to be a place that creates “special moments” like smiling faces celebrating a friend’s birthday, toasts with friends who haven’t gotten together in a long time, and new ideas born from honest discussions between teams. Just like a park, we aim to create a space where anyone can easily visit, regardless of their purpose, and when they leave, they will feel glad they came.
